I am a Modern Day Pilgrim with a passion to explore new destinations that will reflect on my soul.
THE SPIRITUAL JOURNEYS enhance and enrich my travel experience on a physical, mental and spiritual level and deepen the mystery for myself by becoming a pilgrim.
A PILGRIMAGE is a ritual journey with a hallowed purpose. Every step along the way has meaning. The pilgrim knows that life giving challenges will emerge. A pilgrimage is not a vacation; it is a transformational journey during which significant change takes place. New insights are given. Deeper understanding is attained. New and old places in the heart are visited. Blessings are received and healing takes place. On return from the pilgrimage, life is seen with different eyes. Nothing will ever be quite the same again. – Macrina Wiederkehr
“Who is a pilgrim? A pilgrim is someone up for adventure and good company.”
As David Whyte says “a pilgrim is someone passing through relatively quickly, someone looking for the biggest context they can find or imagine, someone dependent on friendship, hospitality and help from friends and strangers alike, someone who has to ask for visible and invisible help; someone for whom the nature of the destination changes step by step as the end of the path approaches, and someone subject to the vagaries of wind and weather along the way.”
I walk or travel to a destination to get new insights, new perspectives, new experiences, and possibly answers to my personal questions. Change comes in many forms to my life. This process triggers the imagination and memory of all of the inner and outer journeys I have or have not taken. Historical, cultural, culinary discoveries balance tastefully with just the right dose of soul wisdom. Circle work and self-healing create a framework for soul ascending having both feet on the ground. There are reasons why I go through the intensive preparation to get myself ready for my annual pilgrimage.
